A summery pincushion

by - Tuesday, July 15, 2008

I've been wanting to make a Heather Bailey pincushion for a long time. So finally, I got to gather some bits and pieces of summery fabric scraps to make a pretty pincushion. And oh, aren't threads and buttons beautiful up close? Sometimes we just need to move closer to see the beauty in the ordinary.

  2. I love the way you pay attention so closely to the small things. That can be hard to do in this world.

And I am in awe of your hand sewing. I would like to get crafty, but without a sewing machine or sewing skills, or really much time to do new projects, I like to look at what others do and drool.

    Your blog is drooly.

  4. The fabric is beautiful. What a neat pin cushion, I would have my sewing out all the time just so I could show it off.
