Image from A Print a Day

I really, really love making clipart crafts and I can't help sharing them with you!

Visit Yasmine's (A Print a Day) blog to see some crafts I've made for her latest and cutest digital kit release The Tiniest Garden. A gifted artist, illustrator, designer and now online magazine publisher, Yasmine has a unique style and flair in creating beautifully themed and designed digital kits that go beyond mere scrapbook application. The Tiniest Garden kit features a very charming gnome and mushroom theme that has all the digital elements you need to make fully customizable crafts at your fingertips. All you need is a little Photoshop savviness and a bit of imagination to create fun, playful and personal crafts to delight yourself , your family and friends ! There are more playful kits to enjoy in the shop such as matryoshka, kokeshi and cupcake bakery inspired kits, shabby and vintage style kits and even a artist collaborated kit featuring Samantha Hahn. Did I mention the kits are super affordable too?

Oh, it's a 4th of July weekend! Happy 4th of July to all my American readers! Here's a recipe from Simple Pleasures of the Home: Comforts and Crafts for Living Well to sweeten the weekend:

Rosey Apple Pie

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup red cinnamon candies (Red-Hots)
5 medium cooking apples
1 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
9-inch double pie crust

Preheat oven to 400 F. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, water and cinnamon candies; cook until candies dissolve. Pare, core, and slice apples. Add to sugar mixture and simmer until apples are red. Drain; save syrup. Blend flour into cooled syrup and add lemon juice. Spread apples in a pastry lined 9-inch pie plate and pour syrup over apples. Dot with butter. Cover with top crust, seal and flute edges. Cut slits for escape of steam. Bake about 30 minutes until desired brownness. Makes 1 pie.

Have a fun weekend!
