My Hoppy Easter Banner and Summer Radishes

Here's the first project I made from Tilda's Summer Ideas booklet--sweet, floral radishes to decorate my table. I scanned and printed "homegrown with love" tag templates from the book to embellish the radishes. The next project to tackle from the book would be the Kitchengarden Angel doll.
The booklet is superbly gorgeous and inspiring in itself even if you're lazy to make anything from it. It's available on Amazon and Panduro Hobby.

Meanwhile, here's the Hoppy Easter banner I made from the Finally Easter Online Craft Class. The digital kit was designed by Karli Plant of Retro Plant blog and Gnome Hut ETSY.
My banner is quite simple as I only added mini clothesline pins, yellow pom-poms and buttons. Hey, hope you like it! I'm looking forward to making the next project this weekend-- a very adorable Easter Bunny!

New Shop Update

Just added new stuff to Sweet Tidings ETSY. Happy Thursday!

Sweet Tidings from Little t Jane

A most delightful, surprise gift box recently arrived from my adorable friend Tracy from Little t Jane. Tracy is blessed with a  playful, pure, abundant  beautiful spirit and her ETSY shop is filled with creations that connect you back to your playful and oftentimes forgotten inner child.

I had no idea this adorable box was heading my way. Thank you for the surprise Tracy!

The gift box is already a gift in itself! A sweetly hand painted collaged box features 3 adorable wee tear drops. I love how it is roughly sanded for a lovely patina effect. Let's see what's inside shall we?

Inside is a lavender scented Mr. Tear Drop Brooch all made with love by Little t Jane herself!  Enclosed is a wee mustache stamp too. Can't wait to stamp it on everything woohoo!

Mr. Tear Drop whom I have affectionately named Bleu also had a special creativity mantra message for me--make, make, create and love, love, adore! Those words just lift my tired spirit!

Thank you Tracy for your soul-warming gifts! They delight and brighten my everyday! Thank you for the wonderful friendship!

Ooey Gooey Carrot Cupcake Recipe

Here's an Ooey Gooey Carrot Cupcake Recipe I adapted from the Read It and Eat It Blog. I love the texture and how pineapple further enhances the over-all flavor. However, I find the original recipe too oily so I reduced the vegetable oil proportion to 1/2 cup. This cupcake is tasty enough even without frosting!

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 Tb ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp ground allspice
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
3 eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 Tb vanilla
3 cups shredded carrots
8 oz. crushed pineapple, juice drained but reserved
1 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350. In the bowl of an electric mixer, combine eggs, both sugars, buttermilk, oil and vanilla and mix until well combined. Add in spices and other dry ingredients. Stir in carrots, pineapple and nuts by hand. Batter will be quite runny, but do your best to scoop it into muffin pans lined with cupcake papers. Fill the cups almost to the top because batter does not rise much. Bake for 20 minutes, until browned on top.

Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit

Hello hunny bunnies! Check out this cute collection of sweet bunny tutorials for your Easter basket stuffing needs.

A bit of trivia: Don't forget to say rabbit, rabbit, rabbit upon waking on the first day of each new month. You will receive good luck for the duration of that month. I've tried it. It works!
